The Window Cleaning Process

Proper technique is the most important part of a window cleaning project

Correct cleaning methods:

  • enhance the clarity and spot-free finish of your windows
  • extend the time between cleanings
  • over the lifetime of the building protects glass and frames from damage
  • start with edges and frames where most dirt and debris accumulate
  • scrub all window seals and frame edges before touching the glass
  • use steel wool to remove stuck-on debris without scratching
  • apply soap solution with applicator for squeegee method or use water fed pole with purified water
  • squeegee glass in smooth, overlapping strokes or rinse thoroughly with de-ionized water
  • wipe down all frames to remove remaining water
  • inspect for streaks and re-clean any missed areas
  • ensure spot-free finish with proper water filtration systems
